JessicaJessica Ann Simpson Johnson was born on 10 July 1980. [1] She is an American actor, singer and charity worker. Simpson, who was 17 years old at the time, began her career in church choirs. The singer signed with Columbia Records in 1997. Sweet Kisses (1999), her debut album, sold two million copies in America. The single "I I Wanna Love You Forever" was a big commercial hit. Simpson's second studio album Irresistible is a more mature release. The album's title track was Simpson's second highest-charting Billboard Hot 100 entry. The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) confirmed the album gold. This Skin (2003) was her third studio album. It sold 3 million copies across America. Simpson's previous career was characterized by her marriage to Nick Lachey. She was also on MTV's reality TV series Newlyweds: Nick & Jessica in 2003 and 2005. After the release of her debut Christmas album ReJoyce: The Christmas Album (2004), which was certified gold, Simpson made her film debut as Daisy Duke in The Dukes of Hazzard (2005). As the soundtrack for the film, she also sang a cover version of "These Boots Are Made for Walking" In 2006 she debuted her fifth studio album A Public Affair and appeared in the romantic comedy film Employee of the Month. Simpson moved into country music after the release her sixth album, Do You Know (2008). Simpson also introduced The Jessica Simpson Collection, the brand's fashion-focused line, which includes 34 categories of merchandise. It is the most successful ever licensed by a celebrity that has more than $1 billion in sales to the date. In 2010, she starred on the reality television show The Price of Beauty. She also acted as a judge for fashions during Fashion Star's two seasons in 2012 and 2013. Simpson is married Eric Johnson and has three children.
